Support

Need help with a valuation, auction or site visit? Machine Africa supports sellers and buyers with clear steps from first enquiry to close-out. Our Kempton Park base works with clients across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha.

Support

Start With the Right Support Request

Clients usually come to us when equipment needs to be valued, prepared for auction, or moved off site in an orderly way. The first step is a simple enquiry through the contact page, followed by a review of the machinery, location, access, and timing. That helps us match the right support to the job, whether it is a single plant item or a full site schedule.

Support is practical from the start. We look at machine type, condition, power requirements, dismantling needs, and any site rules that affect access. In Gauteng, coastal areas and inland industrial zones all bring different handling needs, so planning early saves time and reduces avoidable delays.

What Our Valuation Support Covers

Valuations are opinions of value based on what is seen, recorded, and compared with market knowledge. They are not guarantees of sale price. A proper valuation may consider age, operating condition, make up, maintenance history, tooling, load-shedding exposure, corrosion, and whether the machine is complete and ready to run.

  • On-site machine inspection and asset review
  • Plant appraisals for individual items or grouped equipment
  • Reserve guidance for auction planning
  • Condition notes for sellers and prospective buyers

Auction Planning and Seller Guidance

Good auction work starts before the first lot goes live. We help with lotting and cataloguing, photo listing prep, viewing day setup, and the practical order of sale. That includes grouping similar machines sensibly, identifying missing parts, and flagging items that may need extra inspection.

For sellers, closure support matters as much as the listing itself. We guide the process through viewing, buyer questions, collection coordination, and final site clearance. Where a yard has tight access or strict municipal requirements, it helps to plan trucks, loading windows, and permits carefully.

Buyer Support Before and After Sale

Buyers often need straight answers before bidding. We support that with clear lot descriptions, viewing days, and asset inspections where available. If a machine has been idle, has electrical uncertainty, or shows signs of wear, those points should be checked before any decision is made.

  • Viewing day information for prospective buyers
  • Site access notes and loading constraints
  • Collection coordination after the sale
  • Clear handover steps for purchased equipment

After the sale, the focus shifts to collection and site release. A good handover reduces confusion and helps both sides close out the transaction in an orderly way.

Site Work Across Gauteng and Beyond

Machine Africa works from Kempton Park and supports industrial sites across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Germiston and Midrand, as well as Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha. Different locations need different handling. A coastal site may have rust or salt exposure, while an inland workshop may be affected by dust, power interruptions, or busy loading bays.

We coordinate with sellers and site teams to keep things moving. That can include asset checks, inspection scheduling, clearance sales, and collection planning for machinery of all sizes.

Meet the Team Behind the Process

Our support is led by Siyabonga Mthembu, working with a team that understands auction planning, site movement, and industrial equipment handling. Naledi Khumalo manages auctions, Pieter van der Merwe handles senior valuations, and Ayesha Ismail supports client communication. Thabo Molefe coordinates operations, Johan Botha oversees site logistics, and Lerato Nkosi manages catalogue and media preparation.

This structure helps keep each job organised from first contact to final sign-off. Clients get one clear process rather than being passed around, which makes it easier to deal with deadlines and site conditions.

When You Need Help Fast

Sometimes support is needed quickly because a site is closing, equipment must be cleared, or a buyer needs inspection details before bidding closes. In those cases, the best move is to send a clear enquiry with the machine type, location, number of items, and any access limits. That gives us a practical starting point.

Whether you are selling, buying, or managing an industrial site, our support is built around accuracy, communication and proper handling. It is about getting the work done properly, not making promises that the market cannot keep.
